A perfect getaway to discover one of the most authentic corners of the province of Málaga.
The tour takes us to Cómpeta, a charming mountain village with Moorish roots, famous for its spectacular views of the Mediterranean and its wine-making tradition.
The day gets underway at around 9.30 am. Once you’ve met your guide, you’ll set off along the mountain road, where your local guide will show you around the village’s streets, sharing its history and customs, with time to pick up some honey, olive oil or other artisan products to take home.
The highlight of the day is a visit to a fourth-generation family-run winery, where you’ll discover how Malaga wine is made. The afternoon culminates in a tasting of four wines — including both dry and sweet varieties, made from Muscat of Alexandria and Romé grapes — accompanied by cold tapas. Fun fact: one of their Muscat wines was served at the wedding of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia.
