Discover three World Heritage Cities with this itinerary to Toledo, Segovia and Avila from Madrid, a journey into the past not to be missed!
We will head to Segovia, where we will start with a guided tour accompanied by our guide, who will show us the historic centre of Segovia.
Discover why this city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will stroll through the Plaza Mayor, contemplate monuments such as the aqueduct and the Cathedral and we will enter the Alcázar Real, a military fortress with Roman remains. Wonderful!
We will then set off for Avila which, with its magnificent 11th century walls, is the city of Santa Teresa de Jesús. We will walk through the historic centre and discover the legacy of this UNESCO World Heritage City.
Let yourself be dazzled by its fascinating history! The route will follow a section of the famous wall of Avila. How was this defensive system devised? Why has it been preserved to this day?
We will unveil these questions about the thick wall that surrounds the entire historic centre of the city as we head towards the Roman necropolis. Here we will take the opportunity to stop for a well-deserved rest and enjoy some free time for lunch.
We will continue our journey to Toledo, our third stop of the day and our third city to be declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Toledo has a long Christian, Jewish and Muslim tradition, which is why it is also known as the city of the 3 cultures.
In this tour we will not only see the most representative places of each of them, but we will also visit some hidden corners, authentic secret jewels, only available to a few locals.
Come and discover with our guide the secrets of the second largest cathedral in Spain.
Finally, we will return to the starting point in Madrid, where we will arrive at 18:45.
