Enjoy this authentic equestrian ballet with Spanish music and 18th-century costumes.
You'll see different choreographies drawn from classical and working equitation movements, as well as other traditional horsemanship techniques. Each performance features 6 to 8 choreographies. All maintain the same high level of quality and spectacularity and are programmed by the Institution according to the following repertoire:
- Working Equitation: A demonstration of this discipline, where the rider, holding the reins in one hand, guides the horse around the arena at a walk and a canter, changing pace and performing turns and sudden bursts of speed. This is the field dressage necessary for handling cattle.
- Classical Dressage: Horses performing advanced equestrian exercises to the rhythm of classical music that accompanies them in each of their movements in the arena.
- Driving: Horses also fulfill their purpose by pulling carriages. These driving teams, used in ancient times for transport, are now relegated to sport and exhibitions. Properly harnessed, they constitute a spectacle in themselves, demonstrating the role and handling of horses in this discipline.
- Working in hand: The horse also obeys its dismounted rider and performs High School exercises and other traditional riding movements such as: Levadas, Caprioles, Corvettes, Piaffe (between pillars), Spanish Walk, and Long Reins. Carousel: A group of horses and riders, in unison, perform advanced riding exercises around the arena as the finale of this program.
