Join our unforgettable excursion to the Guadarrama National Park from Madrid.
Just 40 minutes from Madrid we will immerse ourselves in a natural environment of extraordinary beauty and calm, a tour through different parts of the National Park with an expert local guide who will take us through the most outstanding places such as La Pedriza, Puerto de Navacerrada, Puerto de Cotos or the beautiful village of Rascafría. On our tour we will take the opportunity to discover the landscapes of the National Park, walk through its forests and mountains on a small trail and visit some of its villages.
Sierra de Guadarrama is the fourth largest National Park in Spain, with eleven ecosystems, home to more than 1280 species, of which thirteen are endangered. There are also more than 1,500 native plants and thirty types of vegetation. Its fauna includes deer, wild boar, Iberian wolves, roe deer, fallow deer, mountain goats, badgers, various mustelids, wild cats, foxes and hares.
We also have a large number of species of aquatic birds in the reservoirs, and large birds of prey, especially the imperial eagle or the black vulture, unequalled specimens that you will be able to see on this visit
Park highlights: The more temperate and humid conditions of the Sierra than those of the plateau, and its lesser human modification, have made it a paradise for biodiversity. Its geographical setting includes glacial cirques and lagoons, as well as granite rock outcrops; its vegetation includes high mountain ecosystems and extensive forests of Scots pine.
Undoubtedly the best option to discover the nature and traditional culture that surrounds Madrid.
It is recommended to take food with you as this is a long excursion.
