What is the history of the Malaga Fair?

The Malaga Fair, which began in 1487 after the city was conquered by the Catholic Monarchs, started as a religious celebration in honor of the Virgin of Victory. Over time, it became a popular festival full of music and dancing, becoming firmly established in the 19th century. In the 1950s and 1960s, tourism boosted its growth, and in 1972, it was held in August, coinciding with religious festivities. Today, it is one of Spain's biggest festivals, known for its flamenco, cuisine, and festive atmosphere. A must-see for lovers of tradition and fun!
